Stöð 6 – Carbfix
Það eru ekki aðeins trén og sjórinn sem binda koldíoxíð (CO2) úr andrúmsloftinu.
Íslenska fyrirtækið Carbfix er leiðandi í ferlinu að farga CO2 með steinrenningu neðanjarðar. CO2 sem annars hefði farið í útblástur eða CO2 fangað beint úr andrúmsloftinu er breytt í stein til að sporna gegn loftlagsbreytingum.
Hvað gerir þú dagsdaglega til að hjálpa loftslaginu?
Hvað ættu öll að gera á hverjum degi fyrir loftslagið?
It is not only the trees and the sea that binds carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere.
The Icelandic company Carbfix is leading in the process of eliminating CO2 by petrification (the process of organic materials turning into stone when exposed to minerals) underground. CO2 that otherwise would have been exhausted or CO2 captured directly from the atmosphere is made into stone to counteract climate change.
